Who loves D.I.? I love D.I.!

Well, I have a confession. I love dishes. I love pots and pans. I love bowls. I love finding funky things that most people don't have. I love having a random collection of kitchenware that all, some-what match each other.. but really don't. I love going to ROSS or T.J.Max and going straight to the kitchen isles, while my sister goes for the clothes. Recently, I've also found a love for D.I. and the great stuff you can find there. I've been loving the retro stuff lately and what better place to find stuff like that than DI! It's cheap, unique, and usually old! It's great! Here are some of my recent finds.....

I just love this retro little fry pan. And for a dollar, why not!

This one is called, Floral Mist by Himark.

This one is my favorite. I can't take credit for coming up with this idea... My roommate Acacia had the idea a while ago to find old, cheap lamps at DI.. then, spray paint them black to modernize them a bit. I've got to say.. it worked pretty well. There's the before, during and after pictures. The lamp was about $4 and the lamp shade was only $1! Not bad!

Yellowstone!!!!!! (warning: lots of pictures)

Just got back a few days ago from the family trip to Yellowstone! Instead of telling you how it . I will just show you.. I took a lot of pictures if you couldn't tell..

Laura and I had a slight tire problem on the way up... (laura's car this time..not mine) but a nice police officer and another man helped us out!

The older nephews started this game of fishing for my younger nephew... they'd put a cookie on the end of the line and try and get him to grab it while they were up in the loft. They were nice enough to give him the cookie in the end.
