hot dogs, smores, songs

For FHE the other day we decided to have a camp fire up in the canyon since there are limited days that will be warm enough. We went up the canyon to Big springs park and found a nice little fire pit. It was a beautiful little place in a valley. The stars were so bright out there away from the city lights. It made me miss summer so bad!!!

Killers and Ingrid

Well... I love music. So do my roommates. We've gone to a couple concerts this year that have been so much fun! We first went to the Killers. (sounds like a crazy name but they are clean and really good.) It was amazing. My roommates bought me my ticket back in June for my birthday. They are such great friends! We just had general admission so we were on the floor but pretty close. After four hours of either waiting in line or waiting for the lame mariachi opening band to finish playing, the Killers came out. I'd heard mixed reviews of how they'd be live but I was not disappointed at all!! He is an amazing vocalist! And the lights, fireworks and confetti sure added to the experience.

Next we went to Ingrid Michaelson. She is kind of an indie, folkish singer with a little pop mixed in. This one was at a smaller venue in Salt Lake. Because it was smaller it almost felt like we were right there hanging out with her in our living room. She had this way of just talking to the audience like we were all friends. Multiple times she'd stop in the middle of a song and say, "ok.. so at the top of the bridge I want you all to clap. When I say stop. stop... ok, let's go!" She just has a very witty, funny personality that was so entertaining. Over all, it was another great concert!

waiting in line.. not much else to do but take pictures...

This guy is Matthew Perryman Jones.. he opened for Ingrid and was SO good!! look him up.

Ingrid herself... Ukulele and all.

The whole band... they were so funny together..

Gas station stop after the concert to rehydrate.

Beautiful Utah...

I love Utah.. It's just so beautiful. Especially autumn time. It kind of makes winter bearable when I knew spring, summer and fall are still up ahead! Here are some pictures of this fall..
