AZ State Fair!

This weekend we went to the Arizona State Fair. Like any fair it was full of freak shows, flashing lights and fried food! It was great!

There was a really cool exhibit at the fair call Our Body. If you've heard of Body Worlds it was very similar. It was human bodies dissected to show different parts of the body. It was a cool reminder of the anatomy I learned in school.

While we were walking around I made a comment about how fairs are beautiful in their own way. Daniel says, " ya, like a white trash kind of beautiful." haha, very funny Daniel.

This ride freaked me out. You couldn't pay me to enter a ride through a clown's mouth. creepy.

We also went to the petting zoo. There was mostly goats, pigs, sheep, donkeys and stuff like that.. but then, a wallaby came bouncing by! It was crazy!

I think it was super scared because everyone was following it around and wanting to pet it. Poor guy. Still really cool tho.

Funny llama with a crazy hair cut.

crazy slack line unicycle rider. \
1000 lb pig. no joke. fattest pig i've ever seen.

We also had to get fried food in the form of  foot long corn dogs and funnel cake! yum! It was a really fun date!

All Hallow's Eve!

Carving pumpkins for Family Home Evening

 Before.

 My Pumpkin after.

Daniel went for a traditional pumpkin face he said.

After this one was taken he asked if he looked scary.

He tried to look like his pumpkin.

Our costumes for Trunk-or-Treat.... kind of last minute but we made it work!  We love Good Will and the dollar store!

Two of the scariest pirates I've ever seen!

Wind Cave Hike

Well we're finally kind of settled in and have started to try and do some fun things! One thing that we really want to start doing is hiking and camping. The nice thing about Arizona is that the weather from October to April is beautiful and perfect for hiking and things outside. The other months of the year everyone stays inside away from the heat. It's pretty much the opposite of Utah. But we are really excited to explore here in AZ!

We went on a hike the other day to Wind Caves by Usery Pass.. I think that's what it's called. Anyway, it was just a 3 mile hike but it was so much fun! Here are some pictures of the day!

Enter the phase of our life where we have only pictures of each other alone cuz we don't have anyone to take a picture. haha

I'm so used to hiking in pine forest mountains that desert hiking is so different! But I love it. There is beauty in everything.

 That's Phoenix in the distance.

These are the wind caves. They are caves exactly but more hollowed out side of rock. But in the rock there were tons of little holes where bees made their hives. There were 1000's of bees everywhere.

Honey comb in a hole in the rock.

I have a picture like this from when my roommates and I went on a road trip to AZ... had to re-inact.

Phoenix thatta way <==

Utah Trip!

Daniel and I were able to go up to Utah for a BYU game a month or so ago. It was a lot of fun to see everyone in Provo and family in Farmington. I miss being in school with friends and seeing my family so it was a nice way to start off living away from everyone.

Tailgate with some of our old roommates.

 Go Cougs!

 Go America!

 Go Us!

For months we've been talking about taking a picture in front of the Colony sign since we met there. But a few months before we graduated someone ran into it with their car and it was destroyed. When we went back they had made a new one!!! I was excited. So we took a picture to always remember! Funny thing about the Colony, my parents met there as well! Guess it runs in the family!
