oh summer.

Summer should be a time of swimming, hiking, camping, and just having fun. And while I plan to do many of those things right now the weather is not quite cooperating... I guess I'll just stay busy with work for the time being...On that note...I got a second job! Sammy's is a pretty cool little local diner that's famous for their pieshakes (we put a whole piece of pie in each shake.) Luckily Laura's good friend Sam is the owner and was hiring.. Let's just say it pays to have a sister who knows everyone in Provo... Anyway, I've only worked twice but I think it's just what I need. There are fun people, flexible hours, and a pretty chill atmosphere! They have free concerts every friday night right outside along with many other fun events! I'm still working at my other job so between the two I'm about at full time now! They are even willing to work with me being gone for a month to see my parents! It's perfect! Anyway, if you're in the area, check Sammy's out! It's good food and a fun place!

I heart SF!

Well, I just got back from a super fun road trip with some of my friends! Our roommate Jill got married down in the Las Vegas temple so we decided to drive down for it. We spent a couple nights in Vegas and had fun looking at all the beautiful hotels, spending time in our hotel's lazy river, and going to wedding activities. (get ready for a lot of pictures...sorry)

A few pictures on the strip

Jill and Brandon got married!!!!!! She looked beautiful!

We ate pints of ice cream in between the temple and the reception.. a pint each. bad idea.

There's the ice cream again.

After Vegas we drove over to San Jose where Sara Michael is from. We spent a few days with her family and going to her ward and seeing where she grew up. It was so much fun! I think half of my pictures are of us eating... haha

Sara's old high school... she still remembers her old locker com!
Her family made a sign for us all!

We took a day trip to Santa Cruz to see the coast. It was a lot cooler than I thought it would be! But it was beautiful!

We might have gotten caught in a wave..
Getting the sand off our feet.

Eating again. yum.

After San Jose we went up to San Francisco for a night. Kate's parents were nice enough to let us use their time share in San Francisco for a night! It was this cool old building right on the road that the cable cars are on. It reminded us of a victorian mansion so.. these pictures happened..

We went to a giants baseball game the first night we were there!

We were super excited! And the giants won!!
The stadium was right off the bay and it was cold!!!

The next day it was really rainy but so fun! We went to China town, Fisherman's Warf, Union Square, Gheradelli square and the golden gate bridge! It was so neat to go to all these places that I've heard about! It was so fun!

We rode the cable cars! Those roads are steep!

Pier 39 with Alcatraz behind us!

Famous sourdough bread bowls, so good! food again!
Where we stayed!

Excuse the bad rained on hair!

Lombard street from the bottom, not the best picture.. but such a cool street! Most crooked in the world!

Golden Gate Bridge!
I heart SF!!

After San Francisco we drove up to Santa Rosa where Kate is from. We spent three nights there, went to the Red woods, went to the beach, hung out with her family, and played a lot of band hero....

The Redwoods were beautiful! We even found some wildlife! A banana slug!
Sara? where are you looking?

Crazy roots!

It was so green from all the rain! There was moss on everything!

We found a stage and the roommies performed a little bit of a show!
We went to a place on the coast called Goat Rock. Who knows why!
It was such a pretty beach and no one was there... probably because it was cold!!

There were some paragliders jumping of the cliffs. It's pretty small in this picture.

Our band pictures after our nights of playing band hero!
It was such a fun trip but I was sure ready to be home! 8 days is a long time to be living out of a suit case! We added it up and we spent more than 35 hours in the car. Lets just say I will not be spending much time in a car in the near future!!! We were so lucky that Sara's family and Kate's family were so nice and let us come and stay with them! It was so fun to be with them and see where Sara and Kate grew up!!
