Disneyland or bust!

Well, another road trip is in the bag! This time we went with our whole apartment, Daniel's whole apartment and a few other good friends! There was a total of 15 of us! It was a great group! We drove down to Vegas on Thursday night and stayed at Aubrey's and her grandparent's house. It was really nice to meet her family and hang out with them for a bit! The next morning we got up and drove the rest of the way to California! We first stopped at Huntington Beach. It was a little overcast and rainy that day but we still had fun!

 Our attempt at a pyramid...

The whole group before Adam met up with us.

We played 500 and two touch football for a while. It was so much fun! After the beach we split up. Half went to Cameron's house and hung out and the rest of us went to Angel's stadium to look around.

It wasn't open for tours so we just walked around outside. It was a really cool stadium!

Just getting excited for Disneyland the next day!!

After the stadium we had an adventure trying to find the restaurant that we were meeting everyone else at. We may have gotten lost a few times but with Daniel's great navigation skills he led both our car and Katie's car back to safety!
That night we split up between a few houses in Cameron's ward. They were all so nice to let us sleep there!

Then, the next day... DISNEYLAND!!!!! Now those are some happy faces!

Bryce's forehead was the only part of him to make it into this picture.. whoops..

Teacups.. everyone's favorites!

Watching the others on the Dumbo ride.

We only had one accident while on the trip.... Sorry Cameron.

 The whole group at D-land!

We got pretty good at making faces at the cameras....

 Cute monkey face Daniel..

Favorite and least favorite ride of all time.. I don't know why but it really scares me..

One of the group favorites had to be Space Mountain! I think we rode it 3 times!

Then the rain began... Aubrey loves the rain. I think this got voted picture of the week.

 Ponchos!!!!!!

Even an old dog can learn new tricks!

 Good ol' ToonTown!

The next day we got up and went to church with Cameron's family. After that we went to the L.A. Temple and walked around for a while. It was a beautiful day!

 presh..
Cool tree that everyone always takes pictures.

After the Temple we went to the Getty Museum just a little ways away. It was beautiful! The grounds, the building, the art! Everything was so pretty! It was up on a mountain so there was a great view over L.A.

This was Daniel's favorite painting. He's such a boy.

Some of the Getty landscaping and architecture! So beautiful!!!

The view of L.A.!

After the museum we drove to Daniel's house for the night. It was so great to see his family again! They were so great and fed us and entertained us! We even had a talent show... haha The next day we got up and drove back to Provo. It's always hard to come back to reality but it was sure a great weekend!!

Bakersfield Trip!

I was SO lucky to be able to go to Bakersfield and spend some time with Daniel and his family! It was so much fun! Here are some pictures of the trip!

The Bakersfield sign! As Daniel kept saying... "there's not much to see in Bakersfield.. you mostly come for the people."  Anyway, this was on of the sights he took me too.. haha

The first day, Daniel and his family came and picked me up from the airport. We then went to Hollywood! I got to see the Hollywood on the mountain and everything. We went to eat at the Pig n' Whistle which was a restaurant that was a pretty big deal back in the day! Big stars like Shirley Temple would go and eat there. It was a really cool place!

 The whole Lord family.

We then went to the Roman Chinese Theater with all the hand prints!

In front of the El Capitan Theater.

Buck Owen's star. A Bakersfield native.

After Hollywood we went to the L.A. Temple and saw the lights! It was beautiful! (also, don't mind Daniel's beard... I made him shave the next day.)

 Happy New Years!

I think we were looking at the clock...

All the kids and the Holgate Grandparents.

And here I am with the Bakersfield sign again.

Well it was such a fun trip and I'm so glad I was able to go! It was so nice of the Lord's to let me come stay with them!

Christmas Break!

Christmas break was great! I was able to spend part of it in Farmington with Jenny, Brian and their family. It was such a nice, relaxing, fun visit! I miss being around little kids so it was good to have little Willy and Adam running around all the time.

Will and Adam having fun with a Christmas present.

The boys got a lot of Nerf guns this Christmas... haha Look at all that ammo!

 Matchy matchy!

 Sisters....Sisters....

We made a fort one day.. the kids left it up for a week and slept in it every night! haha
